Kate Warner Asquith, Deputy Director – Energy & Operations
Kate has over two decades of experience in affordable clean energy and sustainability. She worked as a public interest attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center and Appalachian Mountain Advocates, successfully challenging the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. Kate co-founded Appalachian Headwaters, focusing on just transition, environmental education, and ecological restoration in central Appalachia. A Virginia native from Portsmouth and raised in Chesapeake, she earned her undergraduate degree from Maryville College and her law degree from the University of Washington. Kate has lived in Charlottesville with her family for nearly ten years.
