Delegate Mark Levine is a graduate of Harvard and Yale and a Fulbright Scholar. He worked as a Nazi hunter, Jewish historian, and inner-city school teacher before becoming a trial attorney. In 1996, Delegate Levine’s sister was killed by her husband, spurring him to track her killer to Mexico, testify against him in court, and beginning a political career. Delegate Levine has been a prominent advocate for LGBT rights, argued in front of the Supreme Court in Bush v Gore, served as a chief legislative counsel to a US Representative, and worked as an investigative journalist and talk show host. Delegate Levine was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2015 and is a founding member of the Virginia Transparency Caucus.
